30 days to creating your first online art class

If the idea of teaching art online excites (and kinda scares you) then you’re in the right place.

If you are willing to put in the work to reach your dreams, then I’m here to tell you dreams are real life.

Whether that dream is to be the breadwinner so your partner can be a stay at home mom/dad. Or it’s to sell art you create to sustain your art purchases. To be a creative art teacher online or in real life. Or it’s to make art you truly love. I dedicate this class to you. I dedicate my time to being your Yoda to get you that dream.

After working on 44 online art classes, I have my system down pat.

Magical things happen when women support women, and here I am to share that system freely.

Well, not freely. You have to pay for it.

You do the art. I’ll do the rest.

Caylee Grey, your Fairy ARtmother
Okay. If you haven’t figured it out yet from the URL, the headings, the site logo, and pretty much everything else around here: I am Caylee Grey. My favourite things to make are art journal pages. I’m wildly enthusiastic about encouraging others to make too. To make things with paint, or scissors, or to make their dreams come true. I teach art and productivity, and co-host the Get Messy Art community of 2000 artists.

I have taught on my own site, at Creativebug, Get Messy, Studio Calico, and Big Picture Classes. I have created 12 of my own full classes, guest taught at 8, and helped bring 24 art classes into fruition.

My husband teaches other engineers to engineer, my mother is a professor, my MIL is a high school teacher, all my best friends are teachers. I’ve also done work for Nelson Mandela University, but let’s be honest here… that doesn’t count as much as the DIY thing.

I am passionate about what I teach, so I delight in answering questions, and being your own personal cheerleader. I’ve put every piece of this course together with love, glitter, and hard earned experience, so I’m 100% committed to it, and to you as a participant. I really want you to succeed.

Lesson outline
WEEK 1: Days 1 – 7
In the first week, we get all those glorious ideas you have onto paper. We’ll do it Level Up style and figure out the dirt from the diamonds. We’ll prep things with the BEST resources cause this is kinda my jam.

I’ll help you figure out all the moving parts to create the class that’s in your head. Probably a better version of it wink

WEEK 2: Days 8 – 14
This is the week of WRITING. It’s a rough first draft, and it’s a great rough first draft. On the Friday we’ll also put a failsafe into the works to make sure that you’re not writing useless things. I can’t tell you what that failsafe is here, I gotta keep some of my secrets for inside the class.
WEEK 3: Days 15 – 21
Your little (or big) class is going to get its looks. If you ever played The Sims, you’ll know how much fun this is. I’ll make sure you’re on track for making it look good and making it look like something your students will LOVE.
WEEK 4: Days 22 – 28
We’re getting to the end now, and things are going well. Obviously. You have me. We’ll start wrapping up with putting your class into the tech you’ve chosen. We’ll choose a price and it won’t even be scary.

We’ll summarise things into a sales page that doesn’t beg people for their money, but shows them your heart just a little bit so that the right person simply cannot not become a student.

WEEK 5: Days 29 – 31
These last few days are dedicated to fine tuning and a bottle of champagne. You’ll be completely confident and stress free, knowing that you made something amazing for the universe.
  • Behind the scenes of successful art classes (without getting distracted by the art!)
  • How to contact hosts for your class if you’re not “big enough” to launch it on your own
  • How to contact guest teachers for guest lessons and art examples
  • Collecting testimonials
  • A list of further reading to up your class creation level
  • AMA (Ask Me Anything) with answers to your questions

Do I have to sell my art classes?
Whether you want to create high quality art classes for free or for money, you will benefit from this class.
What if I've never made a class before?
That’s okay! That’s kind of the point of this whole thing laughing
What if I've never made art before?
You definitely need to create before you can teach what you create.
Will you promise that I will make $1 million from my first class?
No. If you’re looking to make a 7 figure income after 30 days of work then you should look somewhere else.
I don't have an idea of what to teach. Can I still join this class?
No. Come back once you have a burning desire
Should I apply for the mastermind or just take the class?
If you are a self-starter then just join the class.

If you would find value from feedback from your peers, and need situation-specific advice from an expert, the mastermind might be the right fit.

Why do I need to apply for the mastermind? Hello, I'm giving you money.
  1. I am putting my name behind each artist in the mastermind. I need to make sure you’re committed and willing to do the work.
  2. I need to make sure that my mentorship style suits you and you’re able to benefit to the maximum.
Do I need to buy anything to put this class into action?
Yes, probably. With everything I have recommendations budget, medium, and throw-money-into-the-air budgets.

You have to spend money to make money. But you can have the amount fit into your life.

Will you offer the mastermind again?
I’m not sure. Definitely not for another year.
After payment, you will be redirected to choose a username and password to access the private membership site. The course is available on the membership site, along with downloadable PDF content.
Once enrolled, you have immediate access to the private site across any devices you own from payment until forever ever.
The course has 31 lessons. The aim is to go through one per day, but if you need to take more time that’s okay.
I have a 7 day no questions asked money back guarantee.
Please contact me and we can chat.
